Pigmented Spot Removal
Fade Brown Spots, Freckles and Sun Damage
Our Cynosure Alexandrite laser effectively treats benign pigmented lesions—including discolored spots, freckles and sun-damaged skin areas.
What exactly are those brown spots? It's called hyperpigmentation. It comes from sun damage. If you are an active person and have been exposed to the sun, you are more than likely to show signs of premature aging, specifically hyperpigmentation.
We all get those brown spots on the face, hands, chest and other exposed parts of the body over time. Most are benign pigmented lesions that include black or otherwise discolored spots, freckles and sun-damaged skin areas. If you have any such benign conditions, chances are you’re a candidate for treatment.
The process of removing dark spots or freckles is painless and it can be done usually within a 30 minute office visit. How many sessions and how much time will depend on the depth and number of spots. This can easily be determined during our free consultation.
We do not recommend tanning (natural or tanning beds) at any time for our clients. The destructive nature of the aging (UVA) and burning (UVB) rays of the sun will cause these spots to form and darken. It can also reverse any benefit from laser procedures.
If you notice new dark spots that are appear to be changing in color or size, you should first see a Dermatologist prior to any laser procedures.
